Went to church this morning!!! Good service! Got to catch up with one of the girls I grew up with who was in town for the holidays, so that was cool.
Suzie and I hung out this afternoon, which was really fun, as usual!!!
Watched some skating too, it was for stars on ice, which is the show that my dad and I go to!!
I have to work early tomorrow, so I am planning to go to bed early, and just discovered the Sound of Music on TV!! Yah!
Have a great new year everyone! Tomorrow night I'm hanging out with Sara, so that should be SUPER fun!! Love!

Weekend off to a great start!
The past couple of days at work, haven't been the best, but the weekend has been going great. Yesterday, I relaxed, and actually cleaned my room for my new years party.
I slept in this morning, which was FABULOUS!! I found out that my dad took my car to st. cloud, which he usually does every Saturday morning to put gas it in, which I pay, but my car stalled on the highway when he was in the left turn lane, and he said people were swearing at him. He then called the house to have someone come get him, but we were all sleeping and didn't hear the phone, whoops! So he called our neighbor, and instead of our neighbor coming over and waking us up, he went to go get my dad! nice huh?!?! I think I might be buying myself a new car, it's time my dad said! I really want to get a jeep, a blue one! I think! :)
This afternoon I hung out, kev, mom, and I watched youtube videos of High School musical, and sang the songs. That was fun!
Then I went shopping and worked out hard, which albeit is hard, but it feels really good when you are done! I bought some Christmas Hermey stuff, which is half off since Christmas is over! they already have Valentine stuff up in stores, how crazy is that?!?!?
Then I bought some ingriedents that I am going to be making for my new years party! Its a dip, so nothing too out there! I, hopefully, can handle this!!
Then Suzie called and we talked for awhile, and are making plans to hang out tomorrow, which will be so much fun! She wants to watch the vikings, because its a super important game for them, and kev and my dad hate the vikings!! Ha ha!
Good times, well I should get to bed so I can get up tomorrow morning!

Survived going back to work!
I actually had a really good day today! It was slow, I think just because of being the day after Christmas, which stinks! I hate the day after, growing up my mom used to take the tree down right away when people left, at least its still up! Plus Sara and I do a gift exchange usually in early january, just to say that its still technically Christmas!!!
Anyway, work was good! I ended up working on a filing project with my friend Lisa for a bit, so that was fun, and made time go by faster! I didn't get a call the last hour that I was scheduled, it was that SLOW! I hope it picks up eventually!
Now just relaxing, probably going to read a bit from my new book before I go to bed!!
Its almost the weekend, and yet it feels like a monday! hooray! :)

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!!
What a great day! started out kinda rough, since I couldn't sleep last night, and my siblings were so impatient for me to wake up to open santa gifts. I think because I knew what I was getting, it wasn't to big of a deal to go open, even though I got some more cool stuff!!
Then we got ready for the family to come, and I prepared myself, but it was actually really fun. My little cousins are SO CUTE!! The white elephant gift exchange was fun too, and no scandals like last year, except when my cousin Tim and Kevin (brother!) screwed up the number of people, but it was okay!
I ended up with 5 bucks and a dominoes set that I gave to mom! :)
Then I caught up with my cousin who lives in Chicago, and her hubby, and her little boy Liam, is SUCH A CUTIE!!! Then I watched a little skating, and by around 5:00 everyone was gone, so we cleaned up, Jackie left, and came back since she forgot stuff, and Kevy went to his friends house. So then I started to chill and read, and relax since I have to work tomorrow (ick!!)
But it was a great day and a great Christmas!! merry christmas everyone! Have a great new year!

Merry Christmas!!!
What a great day! It started out by getting woken up to dad saying he was going to get pizza!!! YAH!! We ate pizza, watched the burglar scenes of Home Alone 1 and 2, since we try to watch all of both, and it usually doesn't happen!
Then we got ready for church, and since Kev bought this SUPER girlish white sweater to wear for Christmas Eve services, Jackie said that we should both wear some of mom's Christmas/old lady sweaters!!! It was funny, but I kept my jacket on for most of the service. We ended up going to the family Christmas eve service, which was very well, CRAZY! It was okay, but I think since it was the family service, there were SO MANY KIDS! AHHH!!
After the services, we came home, got ready to read the nativity story. We also read that story from my Message bible, so that was cool. Then dad said a prayer and we opened presents. I got so many cool things! YAH!! I got a Making of the Classic Rudolph movie, I got a sasha cohen skating book, a twins t-shirt, a joe mauer poster, that he can sign when I go to twinsfest next year!! So much other cool things too!
Then we played Disney Trivia, since mom gave it to dad, and then dad came up with a crazy game for us to play, which this year was Sommersnopoly (monopoly!) which was SO fun, with real money, which dad marked down with post it notes! We won SO much money, it was great!
Then Jackie, mom, Kev, and I watched High School Musical 2, which Kev gave to jackie, and then we played the trivia game I gave her, and now I am SO tired and going to go to bed. We got family coming over tomorrow, and sometimes they show up early, so we are going to do stockings, and suprise mom and dad with there stockings, which will be SO MUCH FUN!!

FABULOUS day!!! MeRrY ChRiStMaS!!!!
What a wonderful day! I pretty much watched skating and chilled out in front of the tv. Then when kev got home we went light looking. Which was SO much fun! Dad sat in the back seat with me and Jackie and he is SO weird and SO funny!! Good times!
We took my car and there are only two heat buttons: really, really high, or none at all! nothing in the middle. So someone would yell out "Turn the heat off!" and then literally two minutes later someone would shout: "Turn the heat on!!"
Before we went to see the lights we went caroling to the couple from our church, remember? Which was fun. We didn't really have a song planned, so we decided to come up with one on the doorstep, and then they opened the door, and we sang "We Wish you a Merry Christmas!" It was fun, and I think we have such great voices! (when jackie sings over us, since she has the nicest voice!)
Then we went to see the lights, which were great, as always! Then we went to Mcdonalds, and this was the funny part. We got a new guy doing the drive thru orders, and
dad starts: Merry Christmas. I need 40 chicken nuggets (there's 5 of us!) I got a coupon! Is that okay!"
New guy: "Ummm......"
dad: "Great", before he could answer. "I'm gonna pull up to the winder (window!) now!!! It was SO funny! That's my dad!

We always get chicken nuggets at McDonalds. A couple years ago we ordered 20 and dad went to get gas or something, and came back and Kev had eaten ten of them. He was so mad at the time, but he brought it up and was laughing today!
Then we looked at some more lights, went to Cold Stone for ice cream (another Sommers tradition!) Lady screwed up my order, how do you do that with ice cream?!? Oh well! We also sang "We wish you a Merry Christmas" to our neighbors, and it was funny because he saw my sister drive us into the ditch in front of our driveway, which really wasn't the ditch, and she was like, "I hope no one saw!". Which was great!!!!!
When we got home, we watched the Vikings loose, which made the males in my family very happy, and then I chilled, and went upstairs and hung out with the roomies upstairs (jackie and kev!) That was fun! Kev tried on his "Christmas" sweater he bought at savors. It is so ugly, but so him!

Family Time/Traditions!
The weekend at the Sommers house started out kinda shaky. Jackie brought the movie Hairspray home, which I thought was stupid, with some okay parts!
Most of the time I talk about how wonderful my family is, but like all families, there are problems that arise, and yesterday kinda felt like everyone was cranky, plus the Cowboys were playing and Kev gets so intense, so that could've been part of it, but I know the rest of the weekend is going to be fabulous!
Its funny because I got a new single bed, and kev put in his single bed along with his old bed, so Jackie has been sleeping in Kevin's room. "Girl roomate!!" Which is hilarious!
Church was good this morning. Fun to catch up with those I grew up with! Plus one of them, jackie "mudder" has a baby girl, so we will probably see the Klaehn family tomorrow during the Christmas Eve services.
Then Jackie and I went Christmas shopping and got all my shopping done. I also took her to Perkins and that was a lot of fun! The bad weather was not to fun to drive in, but we made it home!
Now I am going to watch some skating, take a nap, and then tonight we are going to go light looking. Now a description of the start of the Sommers family traditions.
We started this one a couple years ago.....
There is a house in Clearwater which has a MILLION lights, so we go there. Also a couple from our church live over there, so we go sing Christmas carols to them. Then we go to mcDonalds and get a bunch of chicken nuggets, look at more lights, and then go to Cold Stone for dessert. we also sing to the Christmas carols on the radio, and its just about being together and having fun.
So that is what we do the night before Christmas Eve, I will describe the other traditions later!!
