What a fantastic Valentines weekend!!!!

It started out with getting a cooking lesson with Lori on Friday and we made spaghetti and it was so good! i'm so excited to start cooking more! i even thought that I should make my pita that I eat at EP and see how low in points I can get it to be!!! and we are going to do another lesson in a couple weeks!!!

You know the saying that the only way to a guy is through his stomach? While hopefully next year I will know how to cook enough to make that happen, no more singleness (if that's a word?) on valentines day for this girl!

Then on Friday night I went to my parents house since they are in Florida so I had a weekend retreat there! it was so nice and relaxing!!!

My parents bed has an electric blanket on it, I should invest in one of those!!! and i slept in (ha, yeah right!) and then worked out like CRAZY!!! seriously I worked out for 2 hours yesterday alone!!! but that is my new relaxing, which is just weird!!!

Then this morning I went to check out Westwood again with my girlfriends, which I LOVE, and am so excited about! its so nice to just worship the Lord and there was a new song they played that I didn't know, but totally loved. I wish i remembered the name of it, they even put the name of the song up on the screen before we sing, which i love!!! after church it was time to head home and watch olympic coverage and work out some more! I am so POOPED!!!!

such a great "me weekend" though! I don't know how parents do it!!!

well let's have a great week everyone! Prayers needed as I am getting trained over at the south campus tomorrow, but that will be nice to just work down the road!!! less gas!! YAH!

life has been CRAZY busy, but CRAZY exciting!!!

This week alone has had so much going on!!!

On Sunday we celebrated Jackie's birthday! better late than never, right? Which was so fun! Its always interesting trying to get a word in with my family! so fun!

Then on Tuesday night Jackie was reading some excerpts from her book that is soon to be published, look for it in 2015 or 2016 and we went to surprise her, but dad kinda gave it away at her birthday party. Darn it daddy!!!!

it was such a proud moment to see my sister in her element, on stage and reading and then she even did a Q an A! Yes people, she is that important and awesome! i was beaming the whole time!!!! i so wish I had her stage presence and she said she gets nervous too! which I so do not believe!!!

then on Wednesday Sara and I went to EP, which was so fun because we haven't seen each other in awhile and EP is just so darn good! one of my coworkers thought that I was going to Eden Praire!! LOL! i love my coworkers so much!!! (so yes things are going pretty well, just trying to figure it all out, and then on top of that I'm going to the South campus next week to train over there!!!) OYE VAY! i'm exhausted as I write this!!

Then tonight mom, dad, and I went to see an apartment complex in St. Joe, its super nice, but pretty expensive, so I'm just not sure. HMMMMM........... gotta love being an adult, right? we shall see what happens though!

To my favorite sister on her birthday!!!

Wow, where do I even start? My sister Jackie Lea is 32 today! YIKES STRIPES!!!! That means we are OLD!

I love you so much deetie Lea! I don’t even know where to begin! How about “Let’s start at the very beginning, a very good place to start!” haha! Bonus points to whoever knows what movie that song is from! It’s a Sommers favorite!

I’ve known you from the moment I was born! I know I was a pest to you from the very beginning! I just loved doing everything my big sister did! She was the chatterbox in our family (and Kevin would be when he was born!) which I’ve always been envious of them both for this trait! She’s been such a rock for me in my life; sure we pretty much annoyed each other growing up (we all do!) but I just love all of our special memories! I always know I can go to her for ANYTHING! And she will make fun of me for whatever problem I am having, but she will always be there to help!

I just smile anytime I think of all the crazy pranks she pulled on me as a kid (I am sure most of you know about the big ones from FB!) mom’s twin sister Rose right any bells, plays (on roller skates no less!), book clubs (we still have our headquarters in one of our sheds at mom and dad’s) and our love for Hanson! We even realized a dream last summer by seeing them in concert at the MN State Fair, which was so much fun!

I can’t even begin to write down any more memories, there are too many to list! But most of all I am proud of my sister as she just got a publishing contract, she is an amazing author! Check out her blog for proof! Lightsallaround.com, let her know I sent you there! LOL! I am so excited for this book to be released, I cannot believe I have to wait until 2015 or ’16!!! UGH!!! I’ve even tried to get her to hire me as her agent, so I can schedule book tours, but she just hasn’t budged! I wonder why? Come on, who is going to look out for you more than your own flesh and blood!!!

But all joking aside I am so proud of this sister of mine for her love of Jesus and for helping me grow in my relationship with him as well!!! I love you deetie!!!

work update

I think things are going well! of course I want to know everything right away and stop being a pesty newbie, but I think for the most part things are going well! and most of all I am really happy at SCMG (St. Cloud Medical Group!) it just seems like a really great enviorment and everyone is super nice and very helpful! and keeps telling me I am not a pest! HOORAY! I'm just really excited! I've been in all three family practice areas as a float, which was hard at first, but I like getting to know each area! its defintely really interesting! We even had a group reception meeting last night after work, and it was good to get to know others from the other clinics (we have 4 total!) i haven't been to the South one much, so that was nice! i feel like I'm getting to know others better! YAH!

Things are good though! Still have my Christmas stuff up, are you surprised? its just so hard to take down! I hit my one year mark of being on weight watchers! I'm at almost 85 pounds lost which is SUPER surprising, when I look in the mirror I sometimes forget!! Funny story, whenever Sara wanted to take pictures of us while I was overweight, i would hike up my shirt to help cover up my double chin, and I attempted to do that when we just took a picture and she gave me her "annoyed" look, as she always did and I was like "oh whoops, I forgot!" and proceeded to smile and still take a bad picture! (some things never change!) haha! so it just took me back!

So things are good! hung out with the family last weekend, which is always nice to do! My mom is so good at talking me down when I get overwhelmed with life and finances and being a grown up (doesn't it stink most of the time!) haha! yes my mom was right about something, when i was a kid I forever wished to grow up because adults had so much power and got paid to work, instead of not getting paid to go to school! man I would go back to school in a heartbeat. oh wait, on second thought? maybe not! haha!!!

what else? The olympics are coming up, twinsfest is coming up with Sara, so that's exciting, although sad since Justin Morneau is no longer with the twins! darn it! I even told me him last year at twinsfest he better stay and he said he wanted to! what the heck happened Morneau? HUH?

so yeah, that's about it? getting uber jealous because mom and dad are going to Florida in feb for two weeks! This winter has been down right BRUTAL! and now without so much weight on me, it is so darn cold out there!!!! This is shocking, but I cannot wait for swim suit season which is something I have never said before in my adult life! oh that's it for real!!!! Its almost FRIDAY! WOOT WOOT! maybe that is why Im in such a good mood!!!

FABULOUS weekend!

The weekend started out fabulously and has ended fabulously!! It started out with going to Sara's to celebrate Christmas (its my last one, which is just so sad!) we watched our Christmas movies; she loves Elf and I love Rudolph! and we even had an Elf Quote off on facebook, which was so fun!! 

After the movies, we opened presents!!! We got each other EP gift cards, which was preplanned, but I am Soooo excited because my current EP giftcard from my parents is almost out, sadness!

On Saturday morning we played Friends trivia which was so fun; we used to be so competitive with games, but now its more for fun; plus we both haven't watched Friends in so long, so we both stunk! haha!

Then I went home and have bunkered in basically since Saturday morning! which was so nice! I worked out, cleaned out my closet and cleaned up (still waiting to take down Christmas decorations though!) and discovered that I should have a garage sale so I can sell all of my "fat clothes!" and then by this summer hopefully I hit my weight loss goal and can go on an ultimate shopping trip to the Mall of America! so excited!!!!!

 this MN winter has been SOOOOO brutal, but mainly because of the cold! its going to get as low as -50 with wind chill, if it hasn't already! The MN Governor called off all public schools for tomorrow and this was announced on Friday, YIKES! i wish they did that for work! and my dad called me saturday night and told me to bunker in today and that the Kimball church called off church for this morning which is just crazy! 

so its been a great weekend! now time for my first full week at work, ive been there a month and now I am just working a full week! so crazy, but I feel ready! i feel like things are really good at SCMG, and Im really excited that Ive found a place I like!!! YAH! I just hope my car cooperates tomorrow, i started it earlier today just to get it running, so hopefully it doesnt let me down!

Happy New Year!!

Its 2014, that is just CRAZY!!!!! Had so much fun this new years eve with Ms. Sara Ann Segler, yet again!!! So much fun!

It started out with getting EP! YUMMY! Then we did some shopping and then for the second year in a row we went to the clearwater lights, just because my family looks for like two seconds, so its nice to sit and watch it for awhile!

After that we bunkered into her house and had so much fun! We watched Despicable Me 2, which is SOOOOO good!!! I think its better than the first one, which almost never happens! Except with Toy Story 2, which i loved so much better than the first!

after that we cheersed to the new year with Diet Mt Dew (for me!) and orange juice for Sara!! Wow we are so WILD!!!

So that was it for our celebrating 2014!! What a fun sleepover, and excited for the next one to celebrate our Christmas (on Friday!!!) 2 days away!! YAH!!!!!

2013: Reviewing the year!!!

Well 2013 has been a great year!!! I became healthy for the first time in my adult life, and I kept my new years resolution all year (which is just crazy!) I still cannot believe that I've lost 75 pounds, I sometimes look at old pictures and cannot believe it!!

2013 was definitely a fun year! I went to many concerts Chris Tomlin with Lisa, Hanson with my sister and Sara (seeing Taylor Hanson and hearing them sing MMMbop was pretty amazing!), also went to see the Newsboys with Lori and Mary!

My big news would be my new job at the St. Cloud Medical Group, which i am very excited about. I've been there almost 4 weeks now and still learning, but everyone has been great and I have a good feeling about this place!

I went on many trips to, Disney World with dad, Womens retreat with the crossroads church (and went zip lining!), Chicago for Stars on ice (with dad!) and then a group of us from Crossroads went back to Camp Lebanon for a weekend with my "Jesus girls!"

I also was involved in a lot of small group bible study with Crossroads and I have loved every single one of them!!

My sister also got a publishing contract for her book Truest (hopefully coming sooner than 2015 or 2016) and a book she has to write! i am so excited!!!

So 2013 has officially been an awesome year! Can't wait to see what is in store for me in 2014!!!
