I hope you all had a wonderful and blessed Christmas, I know the Sommers Family did! I'm so incredibly blessed!!
We had so much fun, I said "screw it" to the diet and am currently experiencing a food coma, but I'm gonna get back on track tomorrow.
It started Christmas Eve afternoon, basically for the Sommers family its all about low key, easy, and laughs and that is exactly how it was! My dad even went to Godfather's and got my favorite pizza in Albany, which is about a 40 minute drive and it was AMAZING and my sister made Christmas Crack which is seriously like crack!!! LOL!
My sister is really into make up, so she dolled up me and my momma and dang we looked so cute at our home churches Christmas Eve services, which was so great, but I was so distracted by my friends 8 month old twins. They are so cute and we basically passed them around our rows, LOL! It was so fun to catch up with friends from our home church and then we went home for PRESENTS! And of course we were the last ones to leave as always!
We then ate some more and then read the Christmas story from the bible, which is one of my FAVORITE traditions and then we opened presents! my parents got me a queen sized bed for my birthday, which was in November, so my Christmas was a lot of little things. it was so funny, my mom found some of mine and my sisters old jewelry and wrapped it for us! She even found my old locket with a picture of me and my kitten inside and I remember putting that picture in, but my sister pointed out that it was upside down, too funny!
Casey (our dog) who is like my baby sister and the center of attention (considering she is only 2 years old) even got us pictures of her baby puppies that she had this summer and Mickey Mouse got me some stickers! so many fun gifts! I got dad some bars of soap since he said that millennials are getting rid of bars of soap and he loved it. He also loves Gracie Vanderwald (no idea how to spell her name) and she is 12 years old and just won America's Got Talent and my dad LOVES her voice, and so my sister got her CD for our dad and he was so excited!
After presents my parents came up with a trivia game, 10 categories with 10 answers, some of the categories were:
Name 10 Star Wars characters that weren't human, name 10 injuries and/or accidents that us kids have had, name all the neighbors who have lived on our street, etc... it was so fun! better find out how much we made for all our answers! some categories were easy and some were not..
Then Christmas morning we slept in, watched movies, ate, and chilled. My sister then introduced me to the Baby Sitters Club Club podcast, which is two guys who talk about the BSC books and it is SOOOOO funny! I now have a new workout podcast! So much fun! sad it's over, but I am so blessed and love my family.
Hope you and your loved ones had a Merry Christmas and here's to a great 2017!
Love, Kristin
PS Maybe I'll blog more in the new year??? maybe, we'll see! ha!
