Finally..... What I promised my "readers!"

So i just wanted to let everyone in on what exactly my job is.....

I usually work a later shift, which I think is great, I get to sleep in. I start work at 2:30, and get done at 11:00. I am an underwriter, which basically means a credit analyst, or a loan officer. For those that I went to high school with, don't laugh it's true, the girl who hated math of any kind works at a finance company.

So basically we work with mostly Kirby vaccums, those ridicously expensive vaccums, and the dealer/sales person will call from the customers home with all there basic info to run there credit. Then the person (aka zip taker) will call me for a decision based on the credit and supporting info, such as job info, housing info, whether or not they are doing automatic payments (helps make the deal stronger, so basically easier to collect on!) and stuff like that. I also have to read the credit, and based on there fico score and good or bad credit then we can take the deal at certain levels. And there are A LOT of levels!! I think part of the reason for the stress at my job is because of the different distributors, or the boss at every kirby office, has different things to take into account for making a decision. Some you need to buy tighter than others, or upgrade a decision because they have good numbers with us, some need to go to a different department (special handling- where the deals are REALLY bad, we are talking 400 fico scores!!!). Things like that!

So then after I make a decision on a deal, if we take it, the zip taker goes through the information with the customer and makes sure that the dealers are really selling the product to a customer, they are known to pull a fast one on us every once in a while. So that is basically what I do. I used to be a zip taker, and was good at it, but they wanted me to move up, so I did! Some days are better than others, like all jobs, so I just have to remember that!!

Since there are so many levels, it is very easy to make a wrong decision, but since nobody has the same credit, underwriting is something that is very hard to train in. There are different parts to it, and not just the levels, and the particular distributors, but also we work with other merchandise, and that has more levels. There is also, if social security numbers are not matching, we have to look those up and get the correct one! it seems like every distributor has something new to add for there company. Everyday I get to work, and it seems like some kind of rule changed, which adds to the stress! Don't get me wrong though, I love my job, and especially my co-workers!! Like the posse of course, which if you read below, you can find out more about them!!

I also work on the "Training" team, which is fun! I get to work with new hires and introduce them to the company. I am also going to be working on QA (quality assurance) stuff soon, or so they say..... just listening to staff and basically helping them out with stuff they need to work on!!

So, that is my job!! It is a really great place to work, so if you want to work for me, put my name on the application!!! I know you have been waiting for me to write about my job, so there ya go!! enjoy!

Happy Weekend!!

Hey everyone!! I had a great day today! I slept in, and then watched the Twins win big (11-3) with Joe Mauer hitting a home run, that's my boy!!!

Then I went outside and laid out in the sun reading, good times!! So nice out today!!

I also went to St.Cloud and worked out and went shopping, so it was a pretty relaxing day, and I think tomorrow there is another twins game, and hopefully another homerun, by you know who!!!!

I should get to bed though, I have church in the morning!!

Love, Kristin

Weekend!! Yah!!!

I had such a good day at work!! it was my earlier day, and boy did it take a couple hours to wake up, I must've hit snooze forever this morning!! Oh well, what can you do!! Work was actually okay today, and went fast (which it never does!).

I also found out that an important meeting with the president of the company that was schedule for Monday was CANCELLED!! how great is God!!!

I also gave Salvy a posigram (definition below!) at work, which made Little Zac a little upset (!!!!), because again he is very competitive, but he already has one, and Salvy does not, so I thought it was only fair!!

Posigram: A message to co-workers at PCI for doing excellent work!! I have a million, just thought I would share that with you, and you get fruit snacks with them too!! We hang them up on our cubicle walls, and see who has the most!!

After work I met up with BF Sara, and we went "Hint Hint" Shopping. If you do not know what hint, hint shopping is, I will tell you.

Definition (I know another one, but stay with me readers!!)

Hint Hint Shopping
The art of shopping with close friends in search of a gift they wish to recieve for Christmas or Birthdays!!

With this in mind, Sara is going to be another year older at the end of May, so this is why we wen t "hint hint" shopping!! I do have some ideas, but she might be reading this, so I cannot say.

After walmart, we went out to eat, and boy was the food gross, My dad gave me a coupon for the Arby's/Shapparo Pizza place on the "east side (think gangsta!) and It took forever for our food to get done, and when it did, mine looked not so good, oh well, it won't kill me, but just thought you would like to know!

Sara had this thing going on all night where she wanted to use sign language and not talk to me, she uses this for her job with her daycare infants to communicate, which was very difficult, because I am not fluent in sign language and maybe know one or two words. She finally started talking, and we found out the Twins won on the radio, because of................

Joe MAUER!! Yeah!!!

Then we went to K-mart and this is where I started to feel nauseous because of some decisions I am making about the future. It was kind of funny though, because Sara found a magic eight ball, and we kept asking if I would do this, and it said "Yes" or "Most likely" a million times!!! Ahhh!!! (I will fill my readers in later about this "topic!") I do not believe in the magic 8 ball, but it was fun.

Usually when Sara and I go shopping, i buy nothing and Sara buys everything, but I did find a pair of brown scandals and some cute red work out pants, so yeah!!

After hanging out with Sari Pok (one of many nicknames for Sara, this one by my dad!) I went to work out and then came home!!! Pretty good day!! I also have the weekend off, so I can spend it praying and listening to God about what I should do for my future, but I would really appreciate many prayers!!!

Tomorrow though, I promise to take you for a day at PCI with Kristin, it will be stressful, and not so cool (just kidding!) but maybe you will catch on to why I am crazy and freak out all the time. Until then!!!

The "Backrow" Posey- I think that is how you spell posey!!

At work there is a group of us that sit in the back row, hence the name, and we have so much fun at work, so I thought I would tell my "viewers" about them!!

Heidi (aka Hrba!)
She usually sits in Kasey's desk when Kasey leaves for the day, she is so fun. We have a lot in common, and usually think the same things. We have talked about going to management for the same issues, without even knowing the other was thinking the same thing. She is so cute and fun!!

Salvador (aka Salvy, aka Sees!!)

He just started working at PCI and I trained him in. He is so funny, and he has such a dry sense of humor. He didn't say a lot when he first started, but now he talks all the time. He sometimes comes to work all dressed up in a suit, as he was today, and we always have fun teasing each other. He always asks me questions, and when I don't know I have him ask someone else, and he acts like he is mad, when he isn't!! He was recently moved to the Spanish department and we already miss him. Kerry drew a "self-portrait" of him on Josh's marker board, really funny. Salvy tries to act all gangsta, but we know he is so super nice!!

Zac (aka little Zac, aka Ankle bitter!!)

Zac started with Salvy, and little Zac is SO competitive. He always wants to beat everyone for the most zips, which reminds me of me!! He is so "little" as you would guess from the title! He always has a girlfriend and a cell phone, and someone is always calling him during work, his cell phone will be taken away soon, I guarantee it! He always says, "You would" and when his phone rings "that's what I like to see". In a way he reminds me of my little brother, and I have called him Kevin occassionally-whoops!!!

Jessamyn (aka..... we really need to get her a nickname!)

She is so cute! She always laughs about the time I told a Tagalog speaking customer I would have someone call him back in Phillipino, because the language in the Phillipines is called Tagalog, not Phillipino. She is so funny, and it always seems like she has something new to tell me when she comes to work. She has such a soap opera life. I love her laugh, and when she gets really excited she talks really fast!! Our first assignment as a posey was to make her a name tag, since she lost hers, and we still are working on this.

This is our posey!! Between Hrba, me, Salvy, little Zac, and Jessamyn we have the 2 managers sit on the sides Todd and Josh, just so you know!! I love the people I work with SO much and it would be so hard for me to leave, if I did!! There are some others that I love there like Mai (aka Oh mai (pronounced my-get it?!?!), Corey, Liz, Darrin, Vicki, Heidi (aka HLSA, a different Heidi then the one mentioned before!) Giovanni, Marta-who I always sing the Sound of Music to, get it?!?! and everyone else.

I have this weekend off, so I will post about what my job entails and if anything else exciting happens before then!! I did have a good day today, even though no posey members were at work, except Salvy, but he got moved to a new department, sad because some of the members don't know yet, (and the Twins lost, which is so not cool!)

I have some ideas about my future, so please pray!! Can't share anything yet, but will for sure keep you posted!!

Love, Kristin

Good day today!!

Hey everyone!! I had a good day today, and it's about time. Work was good, and yes mom I did work and was not loud (even though it was hard!!) I listened to the Twins loose while I worked, so that kept me distracted!! Poor Joe!!

Not sure what else to say, except most of the time my job sucks, but today was fun. I love my co-workers and it is kinda hard to work when they are around, but it's all good.

Sometime soon I will let u guys into exactly what I do at my job, and how not cool it is, but I am tired, so stay tuned!!!

Hello fellow Blog readers!!

Hi everyone that is reading!! just wanted to say that I had quite a crazy day today. After church my parents and I were headed for the cities for my cousin (in law?!?!)'s baby shower. On the highway my mom's car decided to die, and we soon discovered that we had no cell phone with, well it all turned out okay anyway. Mom and i got a chance to catch up while dad "hitch hiked" to a gas station, and then Jackie brought us home, so it turned out to be a pretty good day. Some how I got roped into taking everyone out for ice cream, but it's all good!! I love my family a lot, and of course as soon as we got home, us girls layed down in the parents bed and talked. Good times!! It is so great to share Christ with all of my family members, and another highlight- baby brudder called and we got to talk to him about fighting forest fires!!!

Please comment, and I will update you all on how work goes this week!! Please pray!!

In him,
Kristin
