Scrapbooking!!

so this last weekend Lisa and Jill and I got together and scrapbooked! It was so much fun! We usually go to Jill's since her whole apartment is literally scrapbook central, and its just so much fun.

On Friday night, its usually catch up time, and we do some scrapbooking, and just hang out. We do watch some movies too, so its not just scrapbooking. I decided to work on my Christmas album, since i am almost done with SD, so it was fun to start that. i tend to get very competive and want to get the most done, but Lisa won that, this weekend!

We decided to do a taco pot luck, so we all brought something, we usually do pizza, but that's become kinda sickening, so it was a nice change!

I got about 10 pages done, so that was cool! We watched a couple movies too, including Seven Pounds, which is a really good movie with Will Smith, and an older movie called Doc Hollywood, which was good too! and then we watched the Sound of Music too! Lisa and I left on Sunday morning, so its a full weekend to leave our scrapbook stuff out and just do different things when we need a break, so its so much fun!! We ususally do this once a month, so yah!

Merry Christmas!!!

Last weekend Sara and I celebrated Christmas with each other. We usually do it the weekend after New Years, so we can say that we still have Christmas in January!

We had a lot of fun. We ended up getting pizza and then we went to Sara's and opened gifts. I got a Twins shirt, and some chapstick, with one that was mountain dew! cool huh?? I got Sara a New Moon game and Taylor Swift's CD, but it was the wrong one, WHOOPS! :)

after gifts we played Wii wii, which is so much fun! We just hung out, and then on Saturday morning we slept it, okay I slept in, and we decided to watch Sara's twins coverage from the game that I went to, the last official twins game at the dome, so that was fun, and we watched it all day!! so we forgot to watch our Christmas movies, so since we are both busy during the next couple of weeks, we are going to do a continuation of Christmas! haha, probably in February since Twinsfest is coming up, I am scrapbooking at Jill's this weekend and next weekend is the olympic trials, which I am so nervous about! Sasha Cohen is attempting to come back, but she has competed due to injuries this fall, so we shall see!!

Also my sister got me a devotional for Christmas, and it has just been doing wonders for my time with God! WAHOO!!!! :)

Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a great new year! Sorry about my lack of posting! WHOOPSY! New Years was so fun though. Sara brought her Wii over and we played Mario Kart, which was so much fun, and then we scrapbooked since she got a cricut for Christmas, and we watched movies, it was a lot of fun!!

We did a lot of shopping, and visits to Crafts Direct, we also bought glow in the dark sticks to bring in 2010!! I can't believe its 2010 already, and the olympics are next month! YAH!!

Merry Christmas this weekend, Sara and I celebrate it the weekend after new years, so we still have Christmas in January! WAHOO!!!!

Merry Belated Christmas!!

Christmas 2009 was a good one! It was quite different because of mom having her knee surgery, but really fun!

it started with Jackie and I (attempting) to take mom to physical therapy on the 23rd, and boy was that an adventure, everything was fine until we attempted to get home, and then she couldn't get back in, so that was a big, but funny ordeal!

And because of the surgery we didn't go Caroling, so that was sad, but we did call the people we usually carol too, and sang over the fun! haha!

the next day was Christmas Eve day and dad went and got a bunch of pizzas, and by this I mean a TON! and a childhood friend Shawn was over, so we ate and played Disney trivia, which was really fun! Sam, Kevin's girlfriend, was around, so that was nice! she is so great!

then we got ready and went to Christmas Eve services even though we got this big storm, almost a blizzard, and mom stayed home, but the service was good, and we even took pictures of the fam with a chair replacing mom and her wheelchair, since she got one from dad's work and had fun wheeling around! haha! :)

after church we came back home and opened gifts, I got lots of great stuff. the best being Eldeweiss seeds from Jackie, and a Joe Mauer jersey from Kevin, and twins PJ's from mom and dad, man my whole wardrobe is going to be all twins stuff! haha!

after that it was time for duh duh duhhhhh, the Sommers game, this year Disney Monopoly with real money, woot woot! we won big, but of course right after it, Jackie informed me of the amount I owed for mom and dad's gifts, ouch! haha! oh well, it was really fun!

Then we just relaxed and hung out, and it was nice since we canceled the Sommers family Christmas, so we opened presents on Christmas morning, which I got more Santa stuff, and my skating tickets, and then we gave dad a secretariat beanie baby, which was so cute, and a black headband, which he loved! so it was fun!

after that we just hung out and played games! it was very nice that we didn't have to get things cleaned up and ready for the game, so it was a different Christmas, but still fun!

before Jackie left, there was a Jonas Brothers special, so that made her happy! and she did like the Jonas Brothers stuff that I gave her, so yah!

before I left I did dishes for mom, which she enjoyed too! haha! :)

Opps, I realize Its been awhile!

Well I am still unemployed, so not a lot of news to write! but Christmas is soon! HOORAY! i was just at my friend Jill's house with Lisa, old CM co-workers and we had our Christmas together. We scrapbooked and exchanged gifts. I got a super COMFY pillow from Jill since she has some many comfy pillows!!

we also watched Rudolph, which was fun too!!!

then I went to church on Saturday night and attempted to go to the mall to get some more pictures to scrapbook but it was way too busy, so then I went back to jill's and her toliet overflowed and water got everywhere, which was funny and CRAZY!!! we decided to get out of the apartment after her landlord stopped by and then came back and scrapbooked! It was a crazy day, but really fun! I got home yesterday afternoon after not sleeping to well, and ended up sleeping all night, whoops!

but now i am getting ready to head home, we are supposed to get a lot of snow, so hoping to get home before the storm comes! mom is having knee surgery tomorrow, so I will be taking care of her, and since she is having surgery we cancelled our family christmas, so it will defintely be quiet, but fun! I will post details after Christmas is over!

Happy Belated Thanksgiving!!!

so here is what i've done over Thanksgiving weekend. I went home on Wednesday afternoon, to beat the traffic, and was bored since no one was around. Finally mom got home, and then Jackie and soon Kevy and Sam came over and we all hung out and celebrated my birthday with brownies and watching the Sound of Music, it was really fun!

Then on Thanksgiving we ate lunch, which was gross since I don't like that kinda food, and then we waited for Sam and Kev to come over since they went to her house for lunch, and we took naps, played card games, which was so much fun, and then we watched the first ever Star Wars, so episode 4, which always confuses dad! hahahaha!!

after that i decided to skip the Black Friday morning shopping, and instead stayed home and hung out with the fam more. Jackie and I woke up to mom making cinnamon rolls, yummy! and then i left for home and met up with Sara, and we did some shopping, which wasn't too bad, and then we both were SUPER tired so we went to bed super EARLY!!!!

then this morning we got up, went shopping and i started to get some gifts for people, YAH! and then we went to church which was really good and about the Advent season, which I had never heard about it, and its basically the 4 weeks till Christmas, and we talked about not getting all wrapped (get it!) in the gifts! but it was AMAZING worship as always.

Then we came back to my house and made my specialty taco dip and have been playing Wii games and putting up Christmas decorations. Everything looks so cool! YAH!!!!!!! I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!!!!!

so anyways...... having a great weekend, and I found out some great news from my brother, but I better not say, although no one reads this blog, but that's okay!

also November 24th is officially declared Joe Mauer day, so i can't wait to celebrate that next year!

oh and also i have been playing phone tag with someone at Office team which is a temp agency, how cool is that! YAH!!!! hopefully i hear something on monday!

joe won the MVP award on my birthday! what a great way to turn 25, a quarter of a century! CRAZINESS!!!!!!

had dinner with sara, and had fun! family birthday party on wednesday and thanksgiving on thursday!! YAH!
