FABULOUS weekend!

It was such a great weekend, I'm kinda sad to see it end!

It started with our Taylors Falls trips, first off, i keep saying Taylor Falls, with no S, but there is an S! Okay, so we invited Andrea and her son, and she was a no show, and we waited for an hour. So no worries, we were going to have fun anyway.

The car ride was very short, we sang songs talked, and just relaxed in a comfortable silence. I think we all were thinking that it is going to be nice to just get away and relax. I think it was nice not to have the baby with us!

We went to subway to grab lunch when we got closer to Taylors Falls, and then when we got into town, which is like Mayberry, if you've ever seen the Andy Griffith show. Anyway, we bought boat tickets, and then made a Subway and the food we brough picnic. Good times, very pretty town, and very hilly, felt like we went out somewhere far away, not somewhere still in MN!

After lunch we went on some walking trails, which is beautiful. Took lots of pictures, and saw lots of rock climbers, scary! It was SOOOO hot outside too! AHHH! oh well!

Then we went on the boat ride, which was wonderful. we went on the longer trip, so it was less crowded, and we relaxed and it was beautiful. We went by some people in a canoe and a guy mooned us, it was pretty funny, especially with Jill scrambling to get a picture. Then he did it again, while he was playing catch, on our way back through! This time Jill was ready!

After the boat tour we actually went into Wisconsin to a Petting Zoo farm , called Fawn Doe Rosa, which i thought was supposed to be Fonderosa, like Ponderosa the restauraunt, and had no idea where we were going, but it was very cool. It was a petting zoo, but the animals walked around and you could buy food so you can feed them. A deer came right up to us, and scared me. I was kinda excited, it was Rudolph! haha!

After that we went back into MN and Taylors Falls and went to the 50's Drive in, and it was SOOOO good. We got some root beer floats, WONDERFUL! The waitresses were in poodle skirts too, I was jealous! i had a pink poodle skirt when I was little, i loved that thing!

After that it was about 6:00, and we walked through town and then headed home. It was a great trip, Jill had been there a bunch of times, and so she wanted us to see it! It felt good to hang out with co-workers and never once any brought up having a drink or anything like that.

YAH!

Then today started out with Church. Jon preached, which was great. It was about trust. Something I need to work on. Then i found out that there was going to be a family togetherness thing at our friends house for Kevin (his b-day today) and Adam's (his b-day yesterday). That was fun. We grilled, and hung out. watched my dad and his close friend play ping pong, like they did in college! good times were had by all. good b-day cake too!

The Twins also won, HOORAY! I'm kinda nervous because the White Sox are in town, so hopefully we KILL them! That would be nice!

Now, I just shaved my legs, and feeling ready for the week. Had my devotion and prayer time and I'm ready to go! pray for me, last week was kinda rough!
